GRANTS:The beginning of the school year is the ideal time to implement a classroom tolerance education program. Since it began in 1997, the Teaching Tolerance Grant Program has funded more than 350 projects that promote acceptance of diversity, peacemaking, community service, and tolerance in schools and communities. Awards:Grants of up to $2,000. For teachers of grades K and up. Grants for tolerance projects. Deadline:no deadline for proposals. Allow 6-8 weeks for response.
