Hi everyone,
I am writing to announce that work on the next edition of the Bisexual Resource Guide has begun! I am hoping to have an editor for every country in the world, and for every US state. Countries with a lot of glbt organizing will need more than one editor. Are you interested in being editor for your area?
"What do editors do?" I hear you ask.
Editors are responsible for making sure that all listings in the Guide are accurate and complete. They contact each group listed in their area, and then they go into our fabulous on-line database and make any necessary corrections. If a group no longer exists, they let me know. If there are new groups that should be listed, they gather the information and enter it into the database. A few editors will have the opportunity to write up a descriptive paragraph about how things are for bi people in their region. Editors are also welcome to send in photos of banners, great t-shirts, or logos of bi or bi-inclusive groups in their region. Most of the updating should be done over a 3-month period, from March through the end of June.
EVERYONE, editor or not, is invited to send in updates about their own groups, to send photos, to suggest films or books with bi content that you think should be listed in the next edition of the Guide.
Following are the countries that already have editors. If you live in an area _not_ on this list and are interested in volunteering, I look forward to hearing back from you. If you live in an area that _is_ already covered but want to help out, contact me anyway. Some areas are large enough that 2 editors would be a good idea, and there are other ways people can help with this project.
