SPEAK OUT AGAINST CLUB

Wake up, Anchorage! The School Board will bring up the issue of school clubs again this Monday night. The board needs to hear from everybody that is concerned about this club, not just a few. Call your School Board members, send them a fax or e-mail and come to the meeting. Let your voice be heard.

This issue will not go away and it will not end here. There will be many clubs - of many diverse kinds - if we don't put a stop to it now. Our students do not need to be distracted from the basics of their education - reading, writing and arithmetic. Let's also be consistent.

We teach about the dangers of AIDS and yet allow a club that encourages the acceptance of homosexuality. Let's do away with these club diversions that polarize our community.
