Forwarded by request:

The Chicago Metro Area Gay Youth Coalition (C-MAGYC) is a networking group for gay, lesbian, and bisexual college and high school students, as well as young gay, lesbian, and bisexual people from the surrounding Chicago area. C-MAGYC just received a $1,500 grant from the Crossroads Fund. The grant money will be used to create and host an Internet home page and to produce a newsletter that will be distributed to all G/L/B student organizations and youth organizations. The website and newsletter will link student organizations and have a calendar of events for C-MAGYC and its affiliated groups.

C-MAGYC meets every first and third Saturday at the I.net@cafe, at 5243 North Clark (on the second level), from 5:30-7:30 p.m. or later. The cafe is a queer friendly space and the owner, Bill Dunkle, is happy to host the group.

Any individual or group interested in becoming involved should show up at a meeting or call Carl T. at 773-728-6438 or by e-mail cwilso1@uic.edu. All queer youth are invited to attend! Donations are also greatly appreciated.
