Re: Volunteering at the Chicago NLGJA Conference
GLSEN plans to exhibit at various educational and trade conferences this
year. Our involvement in these conferences will include taking an exhibit
booth, and we are asking that GLSEN members and supporters help in the
staffing of these booths. Your presence is vital to ensuring that GLSEN
has people on the ground to inform attendees about GLSEN's mission,
programming areas, and importance.
The National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association will hold their
annual conference at the Chicago Sheraton Hotel and Towers at 301 E.
North Water Street from August 28 to 31. The booth hours are:
| Thursday | noon to 5pm |
| Friday | 9am to 5pm |
| Saturday | 9am to noon |
Please contact Matt Stuczinski, booth coordinator, at
Stuczynm@newtrier.k12.il.us if you will be at the conference, in Chicago
during the conference, or can recommend someone who you think might be
interested in helping us staff the NLGJA booth for a few hours. We ask
for as much time as you are comfortable giving in order to ensure that
GLSEN maintains a strong presence at the conference.
