Iowa's Youth Lobby Day
State Capitol March 10th, 1999 10:30am till 7:30pm

On March 10th lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer, questioning, and supportive youth from across Iowa will gather in Des Moines for the second annual Youth Lobby Day. A day to empower and educate, as well as have fun.

There will be lobby training and breakfast in the morning followed by a rally with speakers at noon. The afternoon will be filled with legislative visits, and a party for attendees in the evening. The goals of this event are to educate people age 14 - 25 about issues affecting there lives, learn about their elected officials, and the legislative process; as well as to educate legislators about the existence and needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered youth.
