About the Trainers:
Jan Goodman is a Consulting Teacher for Berkeley United School District in Berkeley, CA and co-author of
"Preventing Prejudice: LGBT Lesson Plan Guide for Elementary Schools." Jan was the founder of the LGB Issues Network of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD)
and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Gay and Lesbian Issues in Education.
Beth Reis is Co-Chair of the Safe Schools Coalition headquartered in Seattle, WA. She is a Public Health Educator and a former teacher and adjunct faculty member at Central Washington and Seattle Pacific Universities. She also serves as an ask-the-experts consultant to the Sex Etc. web site, a program of the Network for Family Life Education at Rutgers University.
